For the first time ever Media Dog dabbled in politics, but we weren’t taking any sides. Our brief was to Produce 4 hours of live web streaming for Birmingham City Council’s Local elections. The broadcast presented by Adrian Goldberg was a first for Europe’s largest local authority and was watched by over 2500 people. The transmission involved graphic feeds being taken from the City Councils computerized results service and a two camera studio set and all rooting into our live production gallery. The end product resulted in a more visible election process, the viewers being able to get the results and analyses specifically for the town they live in.
